Recognizing the uniqueness of each child, our approach is tailored to their individual pace of development. Our program emphasizes observation during play and everyday routines rather than formal testing. We use a thoughtful combination of the ASQ-3, ASQ:SE-2, Learning Accomplishment Profile (LAP), ESGI, and Brightwheel Assessments. Together, these tools provide a well-rounded picture of your child’s development by:
At Creative Minds, we utilize the “Gold Standard” of child development tools. These assessments are supported by the American Academy of Pediatrics and are the same systems used by top-tier school districts and early intervention specialists. Evidence shows that the earlier and more accurately development is tracked, the better a child can reach their full potential. By using these research-based tools, we ensure your child is not just “attending” preschool, but is actively being prepared for a successful transition to Kindergarten.

The ASQ-3 helps us provide personalized support by tracking milestones in communication, motor skills, and problem-solving. It ensures every child—from 16 months to 5 years—is on a healthy path for their specific age.

Social and emotional health is the heart of our program. This tool focuses on your child’s ability to self-regulate, build relationships, and express emotions, ensuring they feel safe and confident as they learn.
One of the significant strengths of our program lies in the collaboration between families and our school. By combining your insights with our professional assessment tools—we create a complete and accurate picture of your child’s unique needs. This team approach allows us to provide highly tailored support, ensuring that adjustments are made in real-time to celebrate strengths and address challenges. Whether we are screening for milestones or tracking academic readiness, our goal remains the same: ensuring every child is well-prepared, confident, and ready for success beyond preschool.
There is no additional cost for families. All developmental screenings (ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2), ongoing developmental assessment using the Learning Accomplishment Profile (LAP) and ESGI, and daily documentation through Brightwheel assessments are fully included as part of your child’s enrollment at Creative Minds.
Not at all. Our assessment approach is designed to support children from birth through 72 months. We use natural observation during play, daily routines, and guided activities to follow developmental milestones such as motor skills, language, and social-emotional growth.
With tools like the ASQ-3, ASQ:SE-2, Learning Accomplishment Profile (LAP), ESGI, and Brightwheel assessments, we are able to monitor development over time and share meaningful updates with families—supporting each child’s unique journey from the very beginning.
We are committed to transparent, ongoing communication with families. You will receive professional, easy-to-read reports and Progress Profiles throughout the year. Through the Brightwheel app, we share real-time updates, developmental observations, milestone tracking, and individual child portfolios—so you’re always in the loop.
For our older children, we also provide personalized learning supports, such as custom flashcards through ESGI, to reinforce skills in a fun, age-appropriate way and support learning at home.
While the ASQ-3 provides a general developmental snapshot and the ASQ:SE-2 offers insight into social-emotional growth, tools such as the Learning Accomplishment Profile (LAP) and ESGI allow us to observe and support each child’s development through everyday play, routines, and guided activities. Brightwheel assessments help document learning moments and growth over time.
This approach allows us to understand the whole child—where they are now, how they’re growing, and how we can best support their continued development.
